Get Social, Get Fit, Get Active!
This is more of a walk than a hike. I would only recommend this hiking trail to fitness gurus who want a flat path which is away from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong.

Unfortunately, 90% of the trail runs along a catch water which is less than inspiring. Therefore it gets a measly 2 stars for enjoyment. The first 10% of the trail is worth seeing as it ascends through a lovely wooded area. Difficulty ranks at 1 star as 90% of the trail is flat, and the remainder is uphill.
You'll notice that most pictures are of wildlife, which is quite abundant on this trail if you keep your eyes peeled. The truth is that there is not much else to look at other than a concrete drain. Keep in mind that the first 'green' section is only about 600 metres long.
The number 11 bus will get you to the beginning of the trail which is near Shui Hau. Get off at the stop just before the town or walk back after getting off in Shui Hau. Alternatively you can first complete Lantau Trail Stage 9 which is one of the best stages.

This first section is very beautiful, however the catchwater ahead makes up for that.

As yopu reach the end of this lovely trail, turn right at and follow the catchwater for a good 5km.

At the end of this trail, distance post L113, you can either continue onto Lantau Trail Stage 11 or catch a bus from Tung Chung Road which is a 1.5km walk in the same direction.
