I decided to take out my Axial Wraith Rock Racer with me yesterday and hit Lantau South Country Trail from Tung Chung Road to Mui Wo. I thought that this hiking trail would be well suited to 4WD rock crawling/racing and I was right. This is the best trail that I have discovered so far for this type of activity.

As much as I love hiking in Hong Kong, I have recently given it a back seat when it comes to priorities in Hong Kong. As always money has moved into first position. Those living in Hong Kong will know that more than anyone, as their jobs are pretty much their lives.

This morning I discovered a whole network of trails being built around Nim Shue Wan, a small village near Discovery Bay. These trails are currently being built as the array of tools lying around suggests.

These trails are not yet fully complete, with dead ends scattered throughout, however I did spot at least three individual trails with many intersections along the way.

Many of the trails are currently off-camber with lose rocks and sawn-off…

Due to poor attendance rates over the past few months and work commitments, I will be scaling down my events and focusing them on Discovery Bay where I live. I'll also be changing my profile name from "Hiking Hong Kong" to "Michael Pieper" so that I can better form a group of regulars for Discovery Bay events.
As a result, I will be opening up the possibility for members to create their own events either publicly, privately or in their own districts. I will still be vetting these…

I have done couple of hikes before, but now i am in more enthusiasm to cover up more beautiful hikes.
Yesterday i did around 14.5 km hike. Started of with Peak till stage 3 of HK trail. Want to do Trail 5, mount Butler one.
