South Lantau Country Trail Rock Crawling

Posted on March 28, 2012 at 1:50pm 0 Comments

I decided to take out my Axial Wraith Rock Racer with me yesterday and hit Lantau South Country Trail from Tung Chung Road to Mui Wo. I thought that this hiking trail would be well suited to 4WD rock crawling/racing and I was right. This is the best trail that I have discovered so far for this type of activity.

Back Seat on Hiking

Posted on February 21, 2012 at 2:37am 0 Comments

As much as I love hiking in Hong Kong, I have recently given it a back seat when it comes to priorities in Hong Kong. As always money has moved into first position. Those living in Hong Kong will know that more than anyone, as their jobs are pretty much their lives.

Due to poor attendance rates over the past few months and work commitments, I will be scaling down my events and focusing them on Discovery Bay where I live. I'll also be changing my profile name from "Hiking Hong Kong" to "Michael Pieper" so that I can better form a group of regulars for Discovery Bay events.

As a result, I will be opening up the possibility for members to create their own events either publicly, privately or in their own districts. I will still be vetting these…
